Looks like a former member of B2K has a problem with keeping his hands to his damn self. According to TMZ.com, J-Boog (real name Jarell Damonte Houston), 24, was arrested at his home yesterday afternoon on charges of 'corporal punishment on a spouse as well as for outstanding warrants relating to an allegedly bad driving record. Neighbors reportedly heard loud screams coming from the house earlier that day. Later on, cops in about 7 squad cars showed up on the scene and took Jarell into custody an hour later.

J-Boog -- who is unmarried -- is reportedly still dating his baby mama, Jondelle Michelle Lee although his Wikipedia page names Jondelle as his fiancee. The couple have 2 daughters: Anaia (4 years old) and Tru Cater (2 months old); and a son, Jarrell Jr. (3 years old). If you haven't heard by now, T.I. is home...well sort of. After serving about 7 months in federal prison in Arkansas, he was released 3 months before his scheduled release date to a halfway house near his home in Atlanta yesterday. According to his lawyer, T.I. reported to Dismas Charities Atlanta West in Georgia last night tonight where he'll remain for the next three months. After his sentence is completed, T.I. still has to complete 500 more hours of community service and 23 days of house arrest. As we all know, T.I., real name Clifford Harris, was sentenced to 366 days in the Forrest City penitentiary earlier this year, after he was busted in 2007 for sending his bodyguard/snitch out to buy machine guns and silencers.

He is blessed beyond belief. With his criminal record, the judge could have easily sent him to prison for 30+ years. Hopefully this holiday season will hold a special meaning to him and his family. And judging by the pictures of him reuniting with his two sons after his release, I think it will.

Congrats to T.I. who is still incarcerated on felony weapons charges. The rapper's last album aptly titled Paper Trail was certified double platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). That's a good look because most people aren't going to the record stores to purchase albums when they can easily (and illegally) download it on the Internet. Nearly a year after it's release (in September 2008), Paper Trail has remained on Billboard's Top 200 chart. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 568,000 copies in its first week, becoming T.I.'s best debut sales to date and the fourth highest debut of the year. It has also become T.I.'s most successful and biggest album to date.

According to contactmusic.com, Master P.'s brother rapper C-Murder (real name Corey Miller) will spend the next 10 years of his life in prison after pleading no contest to charges of second degree murder of a 16-year old boy during a brawl at a New Orleans nightclub back to 2002. He was convicted in 2003 and handed a life sentence, but it was overturned in 2006 after he had spent three years in a Louisiana prison. A new trial was granted based on claims prosecutors improperly withheld criminal background information on three of their witnesses. Miller was placed on house arrest pending the retrial, which was due to begin this week, but he reportedly struck a deal with prosecutors on Wednesday (5.27.2009) and has pleaded no contest to the two counts of attempted murder. As per the agreement, Miller will be sentenced to 10 years in prison - but the term will not be handed down officially until August 25th.

Prior to the agreement with prosecutors, Miller was facing a mandatory life sentence if convicted of teenager Steve Thomas' death.

El DeBarge was sentenced to two years in state prison Tuesday for violating his probation on a 2007 drug case in which the singer was found in possession of crack cocaine. The former R&B crooner, born Patrick Eldra DeBarge and best known as the former lead singer of the ‘80s group DeBarge, was immediately taken to California State Prison in Lancaster to begin his sentence, reports TMZ.com. The ruling follows DeBarge’s arrest on Monday in Los Angeles. In that case, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
